Editorial announcement
Arta Medica moves to continuous publication
Starting in 2026, the scientific journal Arta Medica is adopting the continuous publication model.
See details
What does continuous publication mean?
Articles that are accepted and fully edited will be published online immediately after copyediting and final approval, without waiting for a complete issue to be assembled.
The time between manuscript acceptance and online publication will be significantly reduced.
Articles can be cited immediately after publication and will receive permanent bibliographic identifiers.
Articles will be identified electronically using the e-location ID system, in line with modern editorial practices.
The journal will continue to organize content by volumes and issues, with articles added progressively throughout the publication period.
The editorial team of Arta Medica thanks authors, reviewers, and readers for their continued support of the journal's development.

Transition to English-only publication, effective January 1, 2027
Starting January 1, 2027, Arta Medica will accept manuscripts written exclusively in English.
See details
What does this mean in practice?
This decision is part of the journal's development strategy, aimed at increasing international visibility and meeting the indexing requirements of major international databases (including PubMed Central).
All manuscripts submitted from January 1, 2027 onward must be written entirely in English.
Manuscripts submitted before October 31, 2026 and currently undergoing peer review will be evaluated and published in their original submission language (English/Romanian), following the journal's previous practice. Articles scheduled for publication after January 1, 2027, will be translated into English.
Issues published between 2002 and 2026 remain unchanged.
