Rezumat

Robert's uterus (asymmetric septate uterus) is a rare and unique Mullerian duct anomaly, first reported by Robert H. in 1970. This malformation shows two uterine hemicavities, one being blind, causing hematometra, and the other cavity is communicating to a single cervix. The main symptom of the young women affected by this pathology is the cyclic pelvic pain during menstruation, in spite of normal menstrual flow. This article represents a rare case report of the Robert's uterus in a 14-year-old girl, who was hospitalized for diagnostic assessment and treatment of a congenital uterine anomaly. We present magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and ultrasound (US) findings in a case of asymmetric septate uterus.
