Abstract

This protocol was developed by the working group of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Moldova (MSMPS), consisting of specialists from the Department of General Surgery and Semiology No. 3 of the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy (USMF) "Nicolae Testemitanu", The National Agency for Public Health and the IMSP of the Municipal Clinical Hospital (SCM) no. 1 in Chisinau.
The national clinical protocol is being developed in accordance with current international guidelines on postoperative (surgical site) wound infection and will serve as a basis for the development of institutional clinical protocols. On the recommendation of the MSMPS, additional forms that are not included in the National Clinical Protocol may be used to monitor institutional protocols.
