Retraction Policy

Arta Medica is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scientific record. In cases where published articles are found to contain serious errors, fraudulent data, plagiarism, duplicate publication, or ethical violations, the editorial board will issue a retraction in accordance with the COPE Retraction Guidelines.

Grounds for retraction include, but are not limited to:

- Fabrication, falsification, or manipulation of data or images

- Plagiarism or duplicate publication

- Undisclosed conflicts of interest that affect the interpretation of results

- Ethical violations (e.g. absence of informed consent or ethical approval)

- Honest errors that invalidate the conclusions of the article

Retraction procedure:

- The editorial board investigates all allegations or identified issues promptly and impartially

- Authors are notified and given the opportunity to respond before a final decision is made

- If retraction is confirmed, a retraction notice is published in the next available issue and linked to the original article

- The original article is retained on the journal website and clearly marked as "RETRACTED" with the date of retraction

- In cases of minor errors that do not affect conclusions, a correction (erratum) may be issued instead of a full retraction

Contact: Readers, authors, or reviewers who identify potential grounds for retraction are encouraged to contact the editorial office at info@artamedica.md.
